About Mox CV DS 457 mg Suspension:
Mox CV DS 457 mg Suspension is a combination of two antibacterial medicines, indicated for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections in children.
Each 5 ml of the constituted suspension of Mox CV DS 457 mg Suspension contains Amoxycillin Trihydrate equivalent to Amoxycillin 400 mg and Potassium Clavulanate Diluted equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 57 mg.
This pack contains 28 ml of Sterile Water for reconstitution of Dry Syrup.
Amoxycillin belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It prevents bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, which is required for the bacteria to grow and multiply.
Clavulanic acid belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It acts by inactivating some beta-lactamase enzymes that are produced by bacteria, thereby, preventing bacteria from destroying Amoxycillin.
Uses of Mox CV DS 457 mg Suspension:
Mox CV DS 457 mg Suspension is prescribed for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections including lower respiratory tract infections, otitis media (ear infection), sinusitis (sinus infection), skin & skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections in children.
Usage Direction of Mox CV DS 457 mg Suspension:
- Mox CV DS 457 mg Suspension is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
- Mox CV DS 457 mg Suspension is for paediatric use only.
- Shake bottle to loosen powder.
- Twist the cap and open the provided pack (FFS) of sterile water.
- Slowly add sterile water into the bottle upto the ring mark on the bottle.
- Put the cap and shake the bottle vigorously.
- Adjust the volume upto the mark by adding more sterile water, if necessary and shake again.
- Discard any unused portion.
- Shake well before use.
- Please use the measuring cap that comes with the package for accurate measurement.
- Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
- Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.
- Please follow the instructions of the outer carton for reconstitution.
Precaution & Related information of Mox CV DS 457 mg Suspension:
- Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Mox CV DS 457 mg Suspension.
- Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
- The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Mox CV DS 457 mg Suspension with any other medication.
- Reconstituted suspension should be consumed within 7 days from the date of preparation.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Storage condition of Mox CV DS 457 mg Suspension:
Dry powder should be stored below 30°C. Protected from light & moisture.
After Reconstitution:
Store reconstituted suspension in a refrigerator.
