About Azithral 100 mg Suspension:

Each 5 ml of Azithral 100 mg Suspension contains Azithromycin (as Dihydrate) equivalent to Azithromycin (Anhydrous) 100 mg.

Azithral 100 mg Suspension is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Azithral 100 mg Suspension blocks transpeptidation by binding to 50s ribosomal subunit of susceptible organisms and disrupting RNA-dependent protein synthesis at the chain elongation step. It stops the bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins.

Uses of Azithral 100 mg Suspension:

Azithral 100 mg Suspension is a macrolide antibacterial drug, used for the treatment of patients with the following bacterial infections:

• Upper respiratory tract infections such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, etc.
• Acute otitis media.
• Lower respiratory tract infections such as acute bronchitis and mild to moderately severe community-acquired pneumonia.
• Skin and soft tissue infections.
• Uncomplicated Chlamydia trachomatis urethritis and cervicitis.
• Uncomplicated gonorrhea, etc.

Usage direction of Azithral 100 mg Suspension:

• Azithral 100 mg Suspension is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Azithral 100 mg Suspension is for paediatric use only.
• Use the measuring cap for accurate dosing.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed.
• Shake well before use.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.
