About Betadine Prep 10% Alcoholic Solution:

Betadine Prep 10% Alcoholic Solution is an antiseptic and antimicrobial formula that contains povidone-iodine, which is effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa. It protects the skin against microbial infections by reducing the microbial count on intact skin before surgical incisions, injections, blood collection, or other invasive procedures, helping to prevent postoperative infections as well. It prevents and manages infections in minor cuts, abrasions, burns, and skin around the nails. Additionally, it ensures quick drying and enhanced penetration.

Composition:

Povidone-Iodine: 10% w/v (available iodine 1.0% w/v), Ethanol: 30% v/v

Usage Direction Of Betadine Prep 10% Alcoholic Solution:

• Betadine Prep 10% Alcoholic Solution is intended for external use only, in a dose and direction as advised by the physician.
• Apply the solution with the help of sterile gauze piece on the area of intact skin to be prepared for the invasive medical procedure.
• Use gentle back and forth strokes, to prep the site for 30 seconds.
• The area covered should be allowed to air dry completely.
• It is recommended that the application remains on the skin. To provide continued antimicrobial activity.
• If removal is necessary, remove with sterile gauze piece soaked in sterile water.
• Do not skip or stop using Betadine Prep 10% Alcoholic Solution without the physician’s advice.
• Do not apply more than the recommended dose.
• Before using, always go through the leaflet or label instructions that come with the product.

Precaution & Other Related Information Of Betadine Prep 10% Alcoholic Solution:

• If allergic to any ingredients of Betadine Prep 10% Alcoholic Solution, let the physician know straight away.
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The physician should be well informed when concomitant application of this one with any other topical products or medications.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Warning:

• To be used for the disinfection of the skin prior to invasive surgical procedures by Registered Medical Practitioner.  
• Do not use on open skin wounds.
• Do not use on broken or damaged skin.

Storage Condition Of Betadine Prep 10% Alcoholic Solution:

• Store protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep away from direct sunlight, flame, or any fire source.
