Product Description:

BD Glide Insulin Syringe 31 G (40 IU) is a non toxic, non-pyrogenic, non-allergic syringe that is not made with natural rubber latex. It is intended for subcutaneous injection of U-40 insulin and is sterilized using irradiation process. It has only been tested and validated for the intended use. BD Glide Insulin Syringe 31 G (40 IU) provides approximately 3x-lower risk of intramuscular injection compared to a 8 mm needle.

Usage Direction: 

  • Instructions for Use: 1. To expose plunger, twist white cap to break seal, then pull off. To expose needle, twist red shield to break seal, then pull straight off, being careful not to bend needle. 2. To measure correct dose, align top edge of thinline plunger tip with your dosage mark on the syringe scale. 3. Hold the syringe like a pencil. Pinch up your skin and push the needle quickly through the skin at 90° (straight in) to the skin surface. Push the insulin in with the plunger. Pull the needle out of your skin. Release the skin fold.
  • Use the syringe only once.
  • Before usage, always go through the package insert leaflet or label instructions that come with the product. 

Warning: 

  • Once the syringe is prepared, the medication should be administered as soon as possible.
  • Re-use may lead to infection or other injury.
  • Sterility of fluid path guaranteed unless syringe is opened or damaged.
  • Never re-shield the syringe after injection.
  • Destroy the syringe after use and put in a container for safe disposal.
