About Zithrox 200 mg Susp:

Each 5 ml of Zithrox 200 mg Susp contains Azithromycin 200 mg.

Zithrox 200 mg Susp is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It acts by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible microorganisms and, thus, interfering with microbial protein synthesis. Azithromycin should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria in order to prevent the development of antimicrobial resistance and maintain the efficacy of Azithromycin.

Uses of Zithrox 200 mg Susp:

Zithrox 200 mg Susp is a macrolide antibacterial drug, used for the treatment of patients with the following bacterial infections:

• Upper respiratory tract infections such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, etc.
• Acute otitis media.
• Lower respiratory tract infections such as acute bronchitis and mild to moderately severe community-acquired pneumonia.
• Skin and soft tissue infections.
• Uncomplicated Chlamydia trachomatis urethritis and cervicitis.
• Uncomplicated gonorrhea, etc.

Usage direction of Zithrox 200 mg Susp:

• Zithrox 200 mg Susp is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Zithrox 200 mg Susp is for pediatric use only.
• Shake well before use.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Zithrox 200 mg Susp.
