Each 5 ml of Azithral XL 200 mg Suspension contains Azithromycin 200 mg.

Azithral XL 200 mg Suspension is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It acts by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible microorganisms and, thus, interfering with microbial protein synthesis. Azithromycin should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria in order to prevent the development of antimicrobial resistance and maintain the efficacy of Azithromycin.

Uses of Azithral XL 200 mg Suspension:

Azithral XL 200 mg Suspension is a macrolide antibacterial drug, used for the treatment of patients with the following bacterial infections:

• Upper respiratory tract infections such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, etc.
• Acute otitis media.
• Lower respiratory tract infections such as acute bronchitis and mild to moderately severe community-acquired pneumonia.
• Skin and soft tissue infections.
• Uncomplicated Chlamydia trachomatis urethritis and cervicitis.
• Uncomplicated gonorrhea, etc.

Usage direction of Azithral XL 200 mg Suspension:

• Azithral XL 200 mg Suspension is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Azithral XL 200 mg Suspension is for paediatric use only.
  
• Shake well before use.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed.
  
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

• If hypersensitive or allergic to Azithral XL 200 mg Suspension, inform the physician immediately.
• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Azithral XL 200 mg Suspension with any other medication.
• Viscosity may increase on standing. shake well to make it pourable.
• Keep the medicine out of reach of children.
