About Valox CR 300 mg Tablet:

Valox CR 300 mg Tablet is an antiepileptic class of medication, indicated for the treatment of epilepsy, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, and prophylaxis of migraine headache.

Each film-coated controlled-release Valox CR 300 mg Tablet contains Sodium Valproate 201 mg and Valproic Acid 87 mg (Both together corresponds to Sodium Valproate 300 mg).

Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid both are antiepileptic classes of medicines. It controls seizures or fits by stabilizing excessive electrical activity in the brain. It is thought to achieve this in two ways: by increasing the activity of a natural 'nerve-calming' agent in the brain, and by preventing electrical signals from building up in nerve cells in the brain.

Uses of Valox CR 300 mg Tablet:

• Valox CR 300 mg Tablet is prescribed for the following conditions:
• Use as Monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in the management of epilepsy (A disorder, in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed, causing seizures)
• Treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder
• Prophylaxis of migraine headache

Usage Direction of Valox CR 300 mg Tablet:

• Valox CR 300 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Valox CR 300 mg Tablet should be swallowed whole.
• Do not break, chew or crush the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Valox CR 300 mg Tablet:

• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Valox CR 300 mg Tablet.
• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Valox CR 300 mg Tablet with any other medication.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Valox CR 300 mg Tablet:

Store protected from light & moisture, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
