About Utamide Tablet:

Utamide tablet is an antiandrogen medication used for the treatment of prostate cancer.

Each film coated Utamide tablet contains Bicalutamide 50 mg Excipients q.s.

Bicalutamide is an androgen receptor inhibitor, which competes with androgen for the binding of androgen receptors, consequently blocking the action of androgens of adrenal and testicular origin, which stimulate the growth of normal and malignant prostatic tissue.

Use of Utamide Tablet:

Utamide tablet is prescribed for the treatment of advanced prostatic cancer in combination with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analogue on surgical castration.

Usage direction of Utamide Tablet:

• Utamide tablet should be taken orally.
• Utamide tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Utamide Tablet:

• If allergic to this medicine, inform the physician immediately.
• If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Utamide Tablet:

Store below 30°C.
