Topcid 20 mg tablet is a histamine H2 receptor antagonist used to treat and prevent ulcers in the stomach and intestines.
Each film coated Topcid 20 mg tablet contains Famotidine 20 mg.
Famotidine competitively inhibits histamine at H2-receptors of the gastric parietal cells thereby inhibiting gastric acid secretion and gastric volume.
Use of Topcid 20 mg Tablet:
Topcid 20 mg tablet is used to treat and prevent stomach ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other acidity related disorders. It also relieves indigestion and sour stomach due to excess acid production in the stomach.
Usage direction of Topcid 20 mg Tablet:
- Topcid 20 mg tablet should be taken orally.
- Topcid 20 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
- Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
- Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
