About Tenormin 50 mg Tablet:

Tenormin 50 mg tablet belongs to a group of medicine called beta-blockers, used for the treatment of hypertension.

Each uncoated Tenormin 50 mg tablet contains Atenolol 50mg.

Atenolol is a cardio-selective beta-blocker and selectively binds to the ß1-adrenergic receptor as an antagonist. Inhibition of ß1 receptors lowers the heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.

Uses of Tenormin 50 mg Tablet:

Tenormin 50 mg tablet is prescribed for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), angina pectoris associated with coronary atherosclerosis, cardiac arrhythmias, and acute myocardial infarction.

Usage direction of Tenormin 50 mg Tablet:

• Tenormin 50 mg tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Tenormin 50 mg tablet is to be taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Tenormin 50 mg tablet.
• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Tenormin 50 mg tablet with any other medication.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Tenormin 50 mg Tablet:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
