About Loyzide M 80 mg Tablet:

Loyzide M 80 mg Tablet is a combination of two anti-diabetic medications, used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Each uncoated bilayered Loyzide M 80 mg Tablet contains Gliclazide 80 mg and Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg (In prolonged-release form).

Gliclazide is an antidiabetic sulphonylurea. It increases insulin sensitivity at peripheral target sites by stimulating insulin release from the pancreatic ß-cells. It also reduces insulin uptake and glucose output of the liver.

Metformin is a biguanide antihyperglycaemic agent which improves glucose tolerance by lowering both basal and postprandial plasma glucose. It decreases hepatic glucose production, delays intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity by enhancing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Loyzide M 80 mg Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps control high blood glucose levels.

Usage Direction of Loyzide M 80 mg Tablet:

• Loyzide M 80 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Loyzide M 80 mg Tablet is to be swallowed whole.
• Do not break, crush or chew the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

• Caution: It is dangerous to take this preparation except under medical supervision.
