About Epilex Chrono 300 mg Tablet:

Epilex Chrono 300 mg Tablet is an antiepileptic class of medication, indicated for the treatment of epilepsy, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, and prophylaxis of migraine headache.

Each film-coated controlled release Epilex Chrono 300 mg Tablet contains Sodium Valproate 200 mg and Valproic Acid 87 mg (Both together corresponds to Sodium Valproate 300 mg).

Sodium Valproate is an antiepileptic class of medicines. It controls seizures or fits by stabilizing excessive electrical activity in the brain. It is thought to achieve this in two ways: by increasing the activity of a natural 'nerve-calming' agent in the brain and preventing electrical signals from building up in nerve cells in the brain.

Use of Epilex Chrono 300 mg Tablet:

Epilex Chrono 300 mg Tablet is prescribed for the following conditions:

• Use as Monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in the management of epilepsy (A disorder, in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed, causing seizures)
• Treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder
• Prophylaxis of migraine headache

Usage Direction of Epilex Chrono 300 mg Tablet:

• Epilex Chrono 300 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Epilex Chrono 300 mg Tablet is to be taken whole with water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• Do not stop taking this medication without the physician’s consultation.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Epilex Chrono 300 mg Tablet:

• If hypersensitive or allergic to Epilex Chrono 300 mg Tablet, inform the physician immediately.
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The physician should be well informed when concomitant consumption of this tablet with any other medicines or supplements.
• This medicine can seriously harm an unborn baby. Always use effective contraception during this treatment.
• If the patient is thinking to conceive or already conceived in that case consult with the physician straight away.
• Consult with the physician during lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Epilex Chrono 300 mg Tablet:

• Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, protect from moisture.
