About Azimax XL (Peppermint Flavour) 200 mg Dry Syrup:

Each 5 ml (after reconstitution) of Azimax XL (Peppermint Flavour) 200 mg Dry Syrup contains Azithromycin dihydrate equivalent to Azithromycin (Anhydrous) 200 mg.

Azimax XL (Peppermint Flavour) 200 mg Dry Syrup is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Azimax XL (Peppermint Flavour) 200 mg Dry Syrup blocks transpeptidation by binding to 50s ribosomal subunit of susceptible organisms and disrupting RNA-dependent protein synthesis at the chain elongation step. It stops the bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins.

Use of Azimax XL (Peppermint Flavour) 200 mg Dry Syrup:

Azimax XL (Peppermint Flavour) 200 mg Dry Syrup is a macrolide antibacterial drug, used for the treatment of patients with the following bacterial infections:

• Upper respiratory tract infections such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, etc.
• Acute otitis media
• Lower respiratory tract infections such as acute bronchitis and mild to moderately severe community-acquired pneumonia
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Uncomplicated Chlamydia trachomatis urethritis and cervicitis.
• Uncomplicated gonorrhea, etc.

Usage direction of Azimax XL (Peppermint Flavour) 200 mg Dry Syrup:

• Azimax XL (Peppermint Flavour) 200 mg Dry Syrup should be taken orally.
• Shake well before use.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

How to make the suspension:

• Shake bottle to loosen powder.
• Twist and open the vial of sterile water (10 ml sterile water for reconstitution of dry syrup provides with the pack).
• Add half quantity of sterile water given with this pack.
• Put the cap and shake the bottle vigorously.
• Adjust the volume upto the black arrow mark on the label by adding more sterile water and shake again.
• Store the reconstitution suspension in cool place. Content to be consumed within 5 days. Any extra portion left to be thrown away.
