About Azikem 200 Suspension:

Each 5 ml of Azikem 200 Suspension contains Azithromycin (as Dihydrate) equivalent to Azithromycin (Anhydrous) 200 mg and Flavoured syrupy base q.s.

Azikem 200 Suspension is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Azikem 200 Suspension blocks transpeptidation by binding to 50s ribosomal subunit of susceptible organisms and disrupting RNA-dependent protein synthesis at the chain elongation step. It stops the bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins.

Use of Azikem 200 Suspension:

Azikem 200 Suspension is a macrolide antibacterial drug, used for the treatment of patients with the following bacterial infections:

• Upper respiratory tract infections such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, etc.
• Acute otitis media
• Lower respiratory tract infections such as acute bronchitis and mild to moderately severe community-acquired pneumonia
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Uncomplicated Chlamydia trachomatis urethritis and cervicitis.
• Uncomplicated gonorrhea, etc.

Usage direction of Azikem 200 Suspension:

• Azikem 200 Suspension should be taken orally.
• Shake well before use.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Azikem 200 Suspension:

• For paediatric use only.
• If allergic to Azikem 200 Suspension, inform the physician immediately.
• If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
