About Azax 250 mg Tablet:

Each film-coated Azax 250 mg tablet contains Azithromycin dihydrate equivalent to Azithromycin Anhydrous 250 mg.

Azax 250 mg tablet is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Azax 250 mg tablet blocks transpeptidation by binding to 50s ribosomal subunit of susceptible organisms and disrupting RNA-dependent protein synthesis at the chain elongation step. It stops the bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins.

Uses of Azax 250 mg Tablet:

Azax 250 mg tablet is a macrolide antibacterial drug, used for the treatment of patients with the following bacterial infections:

• Upper respiratory tract infections such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, etc.
• Acute otitis media
• Lower respiratory tract infections such as acute bronchitis and mild to moderately severe community-acquired pneumonia
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Uncomplicated Chlamydia trachomatis urethritis and cervicitis.
• Uncomplicated gonorrhea, etc.

Usage direction of Azax 250 mg Tablet:

• Azax 250 mg tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Azax 250 mg tablet is to be taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Azax 250 mg Tablet:

Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Azax 250 mg tablet.

Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.

The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Azax 250 mg tablet with any other medication.

Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.

Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Azax 250 mg Tablet:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30ºC. Protected from light & moisture.
