Product Description:

Silicone Foley Catheter is a sterile, non-latex foley catheter that has a longer life and is more rigid in nature. It is typically resistant to chemical attacks and insensitive to temperature changes. It is characterized by chemical and thermal stability, low surface tension and hydrophobicity. Silicone is one of the most thoroughly groups of biomaterials and is recognized for its inherent biocompatibility and bio-durability.

• The Silicone Foley Catheter has a larger inner lumen for better drainage than the same size one made from the latex of PVC
• No urate crystal and irritation occurs during intubation, thus catheter-associated urethral infection can be avoided

Usage Direction:

• Generously lubricate the tip and shaft of the catheter.
• Carefully insert the catheter tip into the bladder (normally indicated by urine flow), and then a further 3 cm to ensure the balloon is also inside it.
• Using a syringe without a needle, inflate a balloon with sterile distilled water or physiological saline. Recommended volume to use is marked on the funnel of the catheter.
• For deflation, cut off the inflation funnel above the valve or using a syringe without a needle pushed into the valve to facilitate drainage.

Caution:

• For single use only.
• Sterile if the package is unopened and undamaged.
• The size and balloon capacity are marked on the outer unit pack and funnel of the catheter.
