Bactigras is an antiseptic, soft paraffin impregnated dressing which soothes and protects the wound whilst helping to reduce wound infection and inflammation. It has low adherence and allows the wound to drain freely into an absorbent secondary dressing. Bactigras is suitable for covering wounds such as minor burns, lacerations, abrasions, graft sites and leg ulcers. Bactigras Tulle Gras is presented as gauze of leno weave impregnated with white soft paraffin BP containing 05% chlorhexidine acetate BP. Each sterile dressing is sealed separately in a foil laminated pack. Dressings are available in 10 cm x 10 cm Carton contain 10 individually wrapped sterile dressings. Composition of Dressing: Chlorhexidine Acetate BP 0.5% in white soft paraffin BP. Chlorhexidine acetate is a white to pale cream microcrystalline powder, odourless or almost odourless. The action of chlorhexidine acetate is both bacteriostatic and bactericidal.
