About Xylocaine 5% Ointment 30 gm:

Xylocaine 5% ointment is a local anesthetic class of medication intended for topical use only. It works by making the pain nerves unable to pass messages to the brain. Xylocaine 5% ointment contains Lignocaine 5% w/w as an active ingredient, in an ointment base q.s.

Use of Xylocaine 5% Ointment 30 gm:

Xylocaine 5% ointment contains the active ingredient Lignocaine, which is used for:

• Temporary relief of pain and/or itching due to minor burns, non-blistered sunburn, insect bites and sore nipples.
• Prevent pain and discomfort and to act as a lubricant during certain medical procedures and tests performed by a doctor.
• Relieve pain of some conditions of the back passage such as haemorrhoids (piles) or fissures.
• In dentistry to help prevent pain during scaling or injection and when fitting dentures.

Usage direction of Xylocaine 5% Ointment30 gm:

• Xylocaine 5% ointment should be applied topically as per doctor’s advice. Doctor will advise the right dose and the duration of use as per patient condition.
• Clean and dry the affected area.
• Apply a thin film of Xylocaine 5% ointment to the affected skin areas as directed.
• Avoid getting the product in eyes, nose, or ears.
• Wash hands immediately after use unless you are treating an area on the hands. 

Precaution & Related Information of Xylocaine 5% Ointment 30 gm:

• Do not use Xylocaine 5% ointment if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients in the product. If irritation develops, consult with the physician immediately.
• The ointment is for external use only.
• Do not apply large areas of the body without the consulting the physician.
• Do not apply to the broken skin.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose for prolonged period without any consultation with the physician.
• Pregnancy and Lactation: Consult with the physician before using Xylocaine 5% ointment in case of pregnancy & lactation. Caution should be exercised when Xylocaine 5% ointment is applied to a nursing mother.
• Store in a cool place. Protect from light. Store at room temperature (25°C).
