Microshield is an alcohol-based handrub solution that has a broad spectrum and fast activity against gram-positive & negative and antibiotic-resistant bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It is used undiluted to rapidly disinfect the hands and fingernails.

Composition:

Microshield Handrub contains:

Chlorhexidine Gluconate Solution 2.5% v/v (equivalent to 0.5 % w/v Chlorhexidine Gluconate) and Ethanol 70% v/v

Instructions for use:

For rapid hand antisepsis:

Dispense sufficient Microshield Handrub to hands and fingernails.
Rub vigorously over all surfaces until dry.

For skin antisepsis:

Dispense sufficient Microshield Handrub to area to be treated.
Rub vigorously over all surfaces until dry.

Safety Information:

Do not mix with detergents or other chemicals.
Keep out of eyes and ears.
Contraindicated in case of known hypersensitivity to Chlorhexidine.

Microshield handrub sanitizer is specially selected to ensure all of the antibacterial needs of healthcare professionals are met. It is your ideal hygienic solution for regular use, when you are away from washing facilities and especially for the babies as well as their caregivers. It contains ingredients like ethanol, chlorhexidine gluconate, ethoxylated lanolin, glycerol, fragrance, dye & water. Microshield Handrub is chlorhexidine/alcohol hand and skin antiseptic. The active ingredients are 0.5% w/v Chlorhexidine Gluconate and 70% Ethanol. Microshield Handrub contains emollients and moisturisers to assist in the maintenance of skin integrity. The solution is toxic to bacteria and destroys them by dehydrating the cell of these micro-organisms. It is a broad spectrum antibacterial and antiviral agent. The chlorhexidine/alcohol skin antiseptic is absorbed through the bacterial cell wall obstructing its permeability. It interferes with the physiological activity of the cell leading to its destruction. Chlorhexidine gluconate provides residual and cumulative protection against microorganisms. Chlorhexidine/alcohol skin antiseptic is active against most Gram positive and negative bacteria. It is also active against some lipophilic viruses.
