Product Information:

Gamascab Lotion is medicated lotion used for the topical treatment of scabies and pediculosis.

Contains:

Gamma Benzene Hexachloride: 1.0% w/v.

Preservatives: Sodium Methyl Paraben: 0.1% w/v, Propyl Paraben: 0.02% w/v, Aqueous Base: q.s.

Key Benefits:

• Beneficial in the treatment of scabies, pediculosis pubis and pediculosis capitis.

TREATMENT OF PEDICULOSIS PUBIS (CRAB LICE)

Advise patient to:

• Have a good bath using soap and water.
• Dry the skin with a clean towel.
• Apply Gamascab Lotion sufficiently to the pubic area, the trunk and axillary regions.
• Rub Gamascab Lotion well into the hairy areas and leave it on for about 4 minutes.
• Have a good bath using soap and water once again.
• Dry with a towel and wear freshly laundered clothes.

TREATMENT OF SARCOPTES SCABIEI (SCABIES)

Advise patient to:

• Cut finger/toe nails short and bathe well. Dry with a towel.
• Apply Gamascab Lotion sufficiently neck down upto the toes.
• Rub Gamascab Lotion well into the skin, giving special attention to skin-folds and the finger/toe-webs.
• Leave Gamascab Lotion on the body for 8 to 12 hours and bathe well once again.
• Dry with a towel and wear freshly laundered clothes.

TREATMENT OF PEDICULOSIS CAPITIS (HEAD LICE)

Advise patient to:

• Have a good bath using soap or shampoo.
• Apply and rub sufficient Gamascab Lotion into the scalp and the hair.
• Leave Gamascab Lotion on the scalp for about 4 minutes.
• Have a good head-bath once again using soap or shampoo.
• Dry scalp/hair. Remove the dead lice, nits and nit-shells using a fine-toothed comb.

Usage Direction: 

• Gamascab Lotion is intended for external use only as directed by the physician.
• Shake the bottle well before application.
• Before application, always go through the leaflet or label instructions that come with the product.

Safety Information: 

• If allergic to any ingredients of Gamascab Lotion, let the physician know straight away.
• The physician should be well informed when the concomitant application of this one with another product.
• Avoid contact with the eyes, but in event of accidental contact with the eyes, flush eyes with cold water immediately.
• Avoid use in infants, children under 2 years, pregnant and lactating women.
• After every use, keep the bottle tightly closed.
• Discard/Destroy bottle when empty. Do not re-use them at home.

Storage Condition:

• Preserve in a tight container.
• Keep out of the reach of children, pets and away from food, drinking water.

NOTE: Boil/ wash/ dry-clean used clothes, bed-linen etc and  Discard old combs/hair brushes/hats etc. Have all the household members in close contact, also treated simultaneously, in order to avoid possible reinfestation. This is very important. On evidence of reinfestation, a second application may be advised, only after seven days following the first.
