About Zolrex 40 mg Tablet:

Zolrex 40 mg Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor used to treat Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and gastric ulcer.

Each enteric-coated Zolrex 40 mg Tablet contains Esomeprazole Magnesium Trihydrate equivalent to Esomeprazole 40 mg.

Esomeprazole is the S-isomer of omeprazole. It exerts its stomach acid-suppressing effects by blocking the final step in gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system present on the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cells.

Uses of Zolrex 40 mg Tablet:

Zolrex 40 mg Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of:

  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
  • Excessive acidic condition of the stomach such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
  • Damaged esophagus, which is caused by stomach acid (Erosive esophagitis).
  • Gastric ulcer, which is either caused by helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, or induced by drugs.

Usage Direction of Zolrex 40 mg Tablet:

  • Zolrex 40 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Zolrex 40 mg Tablet should be swallowed whole.
  • Do not chew or crush the tablet.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Zolrex 40 mg Tablet:

  • Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Zolrex 40 mg Tablet.
  • Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
  • The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Zolrex 40 mg Tablet with any other medication.
  • Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
  • Keep all medicines out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Zolrex 40 mg Tablet:

Store protected from light & moisture, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
