About Xoclave Duo Dry Syrup:

Xoclave Duo Dry Syrup is a combination of two antibacterial medicines, indicated for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections in children.

Each 5 ml reconstituted suspension of Xoclave Duo Dry Syrup contains Amoxycillin Trihydrate equivalent to Amoxycillin 400 mg and Potassium Clavulanate Diluted equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 57 mg.

Sterile Water 30 ml (for reconstitution) is also supplied with this pack.

Amoxycillin belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It prevents bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, which is required for the bacteria to grow and multiply.

Clavulanic acid belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It acts by inactivating some beta-lactamase enzymes that are produced by bacteria, thereby, preventing bacteria from destroying Amoxycillin.

Uses of Xoclave Duo Dry Syrup:

Xoclave Duo Dry Syrup is prescribed for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections including lower respiratory tract infections, otitis media (ear infection), sinusitis (sinus infection), skin & skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections in children.

Usage Direction of Xoclave Duo Dry Syrup:

• Xoclave Duo Dry Syrup is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Xoclave Duo Dry Syrup is for paediatric use only.
• To make 30 ml of suspension, shake bottle to loosen powder.
• Twist & open the vial of sterile water given with the pack.
• Slowly add sterile water into the bottle upto marking on bottle.
• Put the cap & shake the bottle vigorously.
• Adjust the volume upto the mark by adding more sterile water, if necessary.
• Discard remaining sterile water.
• Shake well before use.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Xoclave Duo Dry Syrup:

• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Xoclave Duo Dry Syrup.
• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Xoclave Duo Dry Syrup with any other medication.
• Use the reconstituted suspension within seven days.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Xoclave Duo Dry Syrup:

Store below 25°C. Protected from light & moisture.

After reconstitution:

Store the reconstituted suspension in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
