Medicine Information
About Xalacom Eye Drop:
Xalacom Eye Drop is an ophthalmic solution, indicated to lower eye pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
Each ml of Xalacom Eye Drop contains Latanoprost 50 mcg and Timolol maleate equivalent to Timolol 5 mg.
Latanoprost is a synthetic analogue of prostaglandin. It reduces eye pressure by increasing the natural outflow of fluid from inside the eye.
Timolol belongs to a class of beta-blocker and acts by decreasing the fluid production in the eye which leads to a reduction of eye pressure.
