Medicine Information

About Tolol H 50 mg Tablet:

Tolol H 50 mg Tablet is a combination medication, indicated to treat mild to moderate high blood pressure.

Each uncoated bilayer Tolol H 50 mg Tablet contains Metoprolol Succinate 47.5 mg equivalent to Metoprolol Tartrate (as extended-release) 50 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg.

Metoprolol and Hydrochlorothiazide both are antihypertensive class of medication.

Metoprolol belongs to a class of beta-blockers. It acts by inhibiting the action of the hormone adrenaline, thereby, relaxing the blood vessels which leads to lower blood pressure.

Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to a class of thiazide diuretic medicines. It acts by increasing the production of more urine to excrete excess fluid and certain electrolytes from the body. In this way, it lowers high blood pressure.
