About Telekast 10 mg Tablet:

Each chewable Telekast 10 mg tablet contains Montelukast Sodium equivalent to Montelukast 10 mg.

Telekast 10 mg tablet is a leukotriene inhibitor. Leukotrienes are chemicals that the body releases when an allergen (such as pollen) was breathed in. These chemicals cause swelling in the lungs and tightening of the muscles around the airways, which can result in asthma symptoms. Telekast 10 mg tablet binds with high affinity to the cysteinyl leukotriene type-1 (CysLT1) receptor and inhibits physiologic actions of LTD4 at the CysLT1 receptor without any agonist activity. Therefore, if acts as a leukotriene receptor antagonist.

Use of Telekast 10 mg Tablet:

Telekast 10 mg tablet is prescribed for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma, to prevent exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and to treat seasonal allergic rhinitis.

Usage direction of Telekast 10 mg Tablet:

• Telekast 10 mg tablet should be taken orally, as advised by the physician.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Telekast 10 mg Tablet:

• If allergic to this medicine, inform the physician immediately.
• If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Telekast 10 mg Tablet:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, protect from moisture.
