About Rovastat 5 mg Tablet:

Rovastat 5 mg tablet is a dyslipidemic agent used to treat several types of dyslipidemias.

Each film coated Rovastat 5 mg tablet contains Rosuvastatin Calcium equivalent to Rosuvastatin 5 mg and Excipients q.s.

Rosuvastatin selectively and competitively inhibits 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol synthesis. It increases the number of hepatic LDL receptors on the cell surface, thereby enhancing the uptake and catabolism of LDL. It also decreases apolipoprotein B, triglyceride and increases HDL concentrations.

Use of Rovastat 5 mg Tablet:

Rovastat 5 mg tablet is prescribed for the treatment of several types of dyslipidemias, including primary hyperlipidemia, mixed dyslipidemia, hypertriglyceridemia, and hypercholesterolemia in patients with failed dietary modifications

It can also be used to reduce the risk of other associated cardiovascular events, primarily strokes & myocardial infarctions.

Usage direction of Rovastat 5 mg Tablet:

• Rovastat 5 mg tablet should be taken orally.
• Rovastat 5 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

• If allergic to this medicine, inform the physician immediately.
• If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Rovastat 5 mg Tablet:

Store protected from light & moisture, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
