Prothiaden 25 mg tablet is a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) used in the treatment of depressive illness.
Each film-coated Prothiaden 25 mg tablet contains Dosulepin Hydrochloride 25 mg.
Dosulepin Hydrochloride is a TCA (tricyclic antidepressants drug) which inhibits norepinephrine and 5-hydroxytryptamine uptake from the nerve endings thereby increases availability at central norepinephrine synapses. It has anticholinergic, antihistamine and central sedative properties.
Use of Prothiaden 25 mg Tablet:
Prothiaden 25 mg tablet is prescribed for the treatment of depression and can also be used in anxiety disorder.
Usage direction of Prothiaden 25 mg Tablet:
- Prothiaden 25 mg tablet should be taken orally.
- Prothiaden 25 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
- Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
- Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
