About Prazonol XL 5 mg Tablet:

Each uncoated sustained release Prazonol XL 5 mg tablet contains Prazosin Hydrochloride Eq. to Prazosin 5 mg and Excipients q.s.

Prazosin is an alpha-adrenergic blocker that inhibits the postsynaptic alpha-1 adrenergic adrenoreceptor in vascular smooth muscles, resulting to vasodilation, and decrease in total peripheral resistance and blood pressure.

Use of Prazonol XL 5 mg Tablet:

Prazonol XL 5 mg tablet is prescribed to patients who suffer from hypertension (high blood pressure).

It helps reduce the risk of other cardiovascular events and may also be used to treat mild enlargement of the prostate gland (prostatic hyperplasia) in men.

Usage Direction of Prazonol XL 5 mg Tablet:

• Prazonol XL 5 mg tablet is intended for oral use only in a dose and direction as advised by the physician.
• Prazonol XL 5 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
