About Optogest SR 300 Tablet: 

Optogest SR 300 Tablet contains progesterone, which is a natural female sex hormone, essential for the regulation of ovulation and menstruation. Optogest SR 300 Tablet is used for the treatment of menstrual and pregnancy-related issues by adjusting the hormonal balance within the body.

Each film-coated sustained-release Optogest SR 300 Tablet contains Progesterone 300 mg.

Progesterone is the main hormone secreted by the corpus luteum and the placenta. It works by inducing secretory changes in the endometrium, promoting mammary gland development, relaxing the uterus, blocking follicular maturation and ovulation, maintaining pregnancy, inducing adequate endometrial maturity, thus promoting embryo implantation.

Use of Optogest SR 300 Tablet:

Optogest SR 300 Tablet is prescribed for the following:

• Regulation of ovulation and menstruation
• Treatment of amenorrhea (absence of a menstrual period in a woman of reproductive age), premenstrual syndrome, recurrent miscarriage due to progesterone deficiency
• Control of abnormal uterine bleeding

Optogest SR 300 Tablet can also be used as a part of hormonal replacement therapy for the prevention of endometrial hyperplasia (thickening of the lining of the uterus).

Usage Direction of Optogest SR 300 Tablet:

• Optogest SR 300 Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Optogest SR 300 Tablet is to be taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not break, chew or crush the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Optogest SR 300 Tablet:

• If hypersensitive or allergic to Optogest SR 300 Tablet, inform the physician immediately.
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The physician should be well informed when concomitant consumption of this tablet with any other medicines or supplements.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.
