About Moxclav BD Distab 228.5 mg Tablet:

Moxclav BD Distab 228.5 mg Tablet is a combination of two antibacterial medicines, indicated for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections.

Each uncoated dispersible Moxclav BD Distab 228.5 mg Tablet contains Amoxicillin Trihydrate equivalent to Amoxicillin 200 mg and Potassium Clavulanate Diluted equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 28.5 mg.

Amoxicillin belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It prevents bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, which is required for the bacteria to grow and multiply.

Clavulanic acid belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It acts by inactivating some beta-lactamase enzymes that are produced by bacteria, thereby, preventing bacteria from destroying Amoxicillin.

Uses of Moxclav BD Distab 228.5 mg Tablet:

Moxclav BD Distab 228.5 mg Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections including ear, nose, or throat infections; urinary tract infections, skin & soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, sinusitis (sinus infection), upper & lower respiratory tract infections, and bone & joint infections.

Usage Direction of Moxclav BD Distab 228.5 mg Tablet:

• Moxclav BD Distab 228.5 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Disperse the Moxclav BD Distab 228.5 mg Tablet in 30 ml to 60 ml of water before administration.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Moxclav BD Distab 228.5 mg Tablet:

• If hypersensitive or allergic to Moxclav BD Distab 228.5 mg Tablet, inform the physician immediately.  
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The physician should be well informed when concomitant consumption of this tablet with any other medicines or supplements.
• Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protected from light & moisture.
