About Mepride DM 2 mg Tablet:

Mepride DM 2 mg Tablet is a combination of two anti-diabetic medications, used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Each film-coated bilayer Mepride DM 2 mg Tablet contains Glimepiride 2 mg and Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg (As Sustained release).

Glimepiride, an antidiabetic sulphonylurea, reduces blood glucose by stimulating the insulin release from pancreatic ß-cells and decreases glucose output from the liver. It also increases insulin sensitivity at peripheral target sites.

Metformin is a biguanide antihyperglycaemic agent which improves glucose tolerance by lowering both basal and postprandial plasma glucose. It decreases hepatic glucose production, delays intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity by enhancing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Uses of Mepride DM 2 mg Tablet:

Mepride DM 2 mg Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps control high blood glucose levels.

Usage Direction of Mepride DM 2 mg Tablet:

• Mepride DM 2 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Mepride DM 2 mg Tablet should be swallowed whole.
• Do not chew or crush the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Mepride DM 2 mg Tablet:

• Caution: It is dangerous to take this preparation except under medical supervision.
• If hypersensitive or allergic to Mepride DM 2 mg Tablet, inform the physician immediately.
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
