About Liofen XL 10 mg Capsule:

Liofen XL 10 mg capsule is used for the treatment of muscle stiffness.

Each extended release (GRS) Liofen XL 10 mg capsule contains Baclofen 10 mg.

Baclofen, a structural analogue of neurotransmitter GABA, is a centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant. It inhibits the transmission of both monosynaptic and polysynaptic reflexes, possibly by stimulating the GABA-B-receptors or by hyperpolarisation of the primary afferent fibre terminals resulting in muscle spasticity relief.

Uses of Liofen XL 10 mg Capsule:

Liofen XL 10 mg capsule is a muscle relaxant and an antispasmodic medication. It is prescribed to diminish the signs and symptoms of muscle spasticity resulting from various conditions such as multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, or other motor neuron diseases, etc.

Usage direction of Liofen XL 10 mg Capsule:

• Liofen XL 10 mg capsule is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Liofen XL 10 mg capsule should be taken swallowed whole.
• Liofen XL 10 mg capsule is to be taken in the morning after food or after the main meal of the day.
  
• Do not crush or chew the capsule.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Liofen XL 10 mg Capsule:

• If hypersensitive or allergic to Liofen XL 10 mg capsule, inform the physician immediately.
• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Liofen XL 10 mg capsule with any other medication.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
