About Januvia 25 mg Tablet:

Januvia 25 mg tablet is an anti-diabetic medication used for the treatment of type-II diabetes mellitus.

Each film coated Januvia 25 mg tablet contains Sitagliptin Phosphate Monohydrate equivalent to Sitagliptin 25 mg and Excipients q.s.

Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitors (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors) class of medicines that lowers blood sugar levels in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Inhibition of DPP-4 by Sitagliptin slows DPP-4 mediated inactivation of incretins. Reduced inhibition of incretins, increase insulin synthesis and decrease glucagon release in a manner dependant on glucose concentrations. These effects lead to an overall increase in blood glucose control.

Use of Januvia 25 mg Tablet:

Januvia 25 mg tablet is prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Januvia 25 mg tablet is used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients with type-II diabetes mellitus.

Usage direction of Januvia 25 mg Tablet:

• Januvia 25 mg tablet should be taken orally.
• Januvia 25 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
