About Derinide 0.5 mg Respule :

Derinide 0.5 mg respule is used to relieve symptoms of asthma. Each 2 ml Derinide 0.5 mg respule contains Budesonide 0.5 mg.

Budesonide is a synthetic glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory and immunomodulating properties. Budesonide induces the expression of glucocorticoid-responsive genes that encode anti-inflammatory mediators such as certain anti-inflammatory cytokines and lipocortins. As a result, the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes is prevented, which are responsible for inflammation.

Use of Derinide 0.5 mg Respule:

Derinide 0.5 mg respule belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids. Derinide 0.5 mg respule is prescribed as prophylactic therapy in persistent asthma and to reduce exacerbations of COPD. This medicine is not for the relief of acute bronchospasm.

Usage direction of Derinide 0.5 mg Respule :

• Derinide 0.5 mg respule is meant for inhalation only. It is not to be injected or administered orally.

• Before using Derinide 0.5 mg respule know the administration process properly from the pack.

• Derinide 0.5 mg respule should be used with a respirator or nebuliser only, under the direction of a physician.

• Shake well before use.

• Once the foil pouch is opened the respules should be used within one month.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.

• Do not discontinue use without physicians’ advice.

Precaution & Related information of Derinide 0.5 mg Respule :

Precaution should be taken & consult with the physician during following conditions:

• Hypersensitivity to this medicine or any of its components.

• Inform your physician if you are going through any other treatment.

• Do not use if the suspension is discoloured, leak found on squeezing or contains visible black particles.

• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.

• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Derinide 0.5 mg Respule :

Store below 30°C. Protect from light. Do not freeze. Store the respules in foil pouch at all times.
