About Delpoclav DS Suspension:

Delpoclav DS Suspension is a combination of two antibacterial medicines, indicated for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections in children.

Each combipack contains:

A. 1 vial of Amoxycillin & Potassium Clavulanate Oral Suspension

Each 5 ml of constituted suspension of Delpoclav DS Suspension contains Amoxycillin Trihydrate equivalent to Amoxycillin 400 mg and Potassium Clavulanate Diluted equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 57 mg.

B. 1 vial of Sterile Water for injections

Each vial contains Sterile Water for injections 30 ml.

Amoxycillin belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It prevents bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, which is required for the bacteria to grow and multiply.

Clavulanic acid belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It acts by inactivating some beta-lactamase enzymes that are produced by bacteria, thereby, preventing bacteria from destroying Amoxycillin.

Uses of Delpoclav DS Suspension:

Delpoclav DS Suspension is prescribed for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections including lower respiratory tract infections, otitis media (ear infection), sinusitis (sinus infection), skin & skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections in children.

Usage Direction of Delpoclav DS Suspension:

• Delpoclav DS Suspension is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Delpoclav DS Suspension is for paediatric use only.
• Shake the bottle to loosen powder.
• Twist & open the vial of sterile water given with the pack.
• Slowly add sterile water into the bottle upto the ring mark on the bottle.
• Put the cap and shake the bottle vigorously.
• Adjust the volume upto the ring mark by adding more sterile water if necessary and shake again.
• Any extra portion left to be thrown away.
• Shake well before use.
• Please use the measuring cap that comes with the package for accurate measurement.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Delpoclav DS Suspension:

• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Delpoclav DS Suspension.
• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Delpoclav DS Suspension with any other medication.
• Content to be consumed within 7 days.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Delpoclav DS Suspension:

Store protected from light & moisture, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

After reconstitution:

Store the constituted suspension in the refrigerator.
