Medicine Information

About Dapcard 10 mg Tablet:

Dapcard 10 mg Tablet is an antidiabetic class of medication prescribed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Each film coated Dapcard 10 mg Tablet contains Dapagliflozin Propanediol Monohydrate equivalent to Dapagliflozin 10mg.

Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that works by inhibiting the SGLT2 co-transporter, which lowers the reabsorption of filtered glucose into the body. This effect decreases the renal threshold for glucose (RTG) and allows the glucose to be excreted through the urine. This excretion results in better glycemic control.

Uses of Dapcard 10 mg Tablet:

Dapcard 10 mg Tablet is an oral antidiabetic agent indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, NIDDM).
