About Bilazest M Tablet :

Bilazest M Tablet is an Antiasthmatic medicine, used for the treatment of Allergic Rhinitis and Asthma. Each film-coated Bilazest M tablet contains Bilastine 20mg and Montelukast Sodium Equivalent to Montelukast 10mg.

Bilastine is a selective histamine H1 receptor antagonist. During allergic response mast cells undergo degranulation which releases histamine and other substances. By binding to and preventing activation of the H1 receptor, bilastine reduces the development of allergic symptoms due to the release of histamine from mast cells.

Montelukast is a leukotriene inhibitor. Leukotrienes are chemicals that the body releases when an allergen (such as pollen) was breathed in. These chemicals cause swelling in the lungs and tightening of the muscles around the airways, which can result in asthma symptoms. Montelukast binds with high affinity to the cysteinyl leukotriene type-1 (CysLT1) receptor and inhibits physiologic actions of LTD4 at the CysLT1 receptor without any agonist activity. It, therefore, acts as a leukotriene receptor antagonist.

Use of Bilazest M Tablet :

Bilazest M Tablet belongs to a group of medicines known as antihistamines. It is prescribed for the symptomatic treatment of seasonal & perennial allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis and urticaria in adults.

Usage direction of Bilazest M Tablet :

• Bilazest M Tablet should be taken orally.
• Bilazest M Tablet should be taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician's advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Bilazest M Tablet :

• If allergic to this medicine, inform the physician immediately.
• If found any complications, inform the physician immediately.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.

Storage Condition of Bilazest M Tablet :

• Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children.
