About Amazeo 300 mg Tablet:

Amazeo 300 mg tablet is used for the treatment of schizophrenia.

Each film coated Amazeo 300 mg tablet contains Amisulpride 300mg and Excipients q.s.

Amisulpride is a selective dopamine D2 and D3 receptor antagonist. It has high preferential activity towards dopamine receptors, leading to a lower risk of extrapyramidal side effects than other atypical antipsychotic agents. At low doses it preferentially blocks pre-synaptic D2/D3 receptors, producing dopamine release responsible for its disinhibitory effects. This pharmacological profile explains the clinical efficacy of amisulpride against both negative and positive symptoms of schizophrenia.

Use of Amazeo 300 mg Tablet:

Amazeo 300 mg tablet is prescribed for the treatment of acute and chronic schizophrenic disorders, in which positive symptoms (such as delusions, hallucinations, and thought disorders) and/or negative symptoms (such as blunted affect, emotional and social withdrawal) are prominent, including patients characterized by predominant negative symptoms.
Symptoms include:

• Delusions (having strange or unusual thought)
• Hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not there)
• Being suspicious or aggressive for no apparent reason (these are so called “positive symptoms”)
• Becoming withdrawn and subdued (these are so called “negative symptoms”)

Usage direction of Amazeo 300 mg Tablet:

• Amazeo 300 mg tablet should be taken orally.
• Amazeo 300 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

• If allergic to this medicine, inform the physician immediately.
• If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
