About Alporate 200 mg Tablet:

Alporate 200 mg Tablet is an antiepileptic class of medication, indicated for the treatment of epilepsy, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, and prophylaxis of migraine headache.

Each film-coated controlled-release Alporate 200 mg Tablet contains Sodium Valproate 133.5 mg and Valproic Acid 58 mg (Both together correspond to Sodium Valproate 200 mg).

Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid both are antiepileptic classes of medicines. It controls seizures or fits by stabilizing excessive electrical activity in the brain. It is thought to achieve this in two ways: by increasing the activity of a natural 'nerve-calming' agent in the brain, and by preventing electrical signals from building up in nerve cells in the brain.

Uses of Alporate 200 mg Tablet:

Alporate 200 mg Tablet is prescribed for the following conditions:

• Use as Monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in the management of epilepsy (A disorder, in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed, causing seizures)
• Treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder
• Prophylaxis of migraine headache

Usage Direction of Alporate 200 mg Tablet:

• Alporate 200 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Alporate 200 mg Tablet should be swallowed whole.
• Do not chew or crush the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Alporate 200 mg Tablet:

• If hypersensitive or allergic to Alporate 200 mg Tablet, inform the physician immediately.  
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The physician should be well informed when concomitant consumption of this tablet with any other medicines or supplements.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep all the medicines out of reach of children.

Store in a cool, dry & dark place. Protect from light & moisture.
