About Advent Forte 457 mg Syrup:

Advent Forte 457 mg Syrup is a combination of two antibacterial medicines, indicated for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections in children.

Each 5 ml (on reconstitution) of Advent Forte 457 mg Syrup contains Amoxycillin Trihydrate equivalent to Amoxycillin 400 mg and Potassium Clavulanate Diluted equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 57 mg.

Amoxycillin belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It prevents bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, which is required for the bacteria to grow and multiply.

Clavulanic acid belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It acts by inactivating some beta-lactamase enzymes that are produced by bacteria, thereby, preventing bacteria from destroying Amoxycillin.

Uses of Advent Forte 457 mg Syrup:

Advent Forte 457 mg Syrup is prescribed for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections including lower respiratory tract infections, otitis media (ear infection), sinusitis (sinus infection), skin & skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections in children.

Usage Direction of Advent Forte 457 mg Syrup:

• Advent Forte 457 mg Syrup is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Advent Forte 457 mg Syrup is for paediatric use only.
• Shake bottle to loosen powder.
• Twist and open the vial of sterile water given with the pack.
• Add half quantity of sterile water given with the pack.
• Put the cap and shake the bottle vigorously.
• Adjust the volume up to the black arrow mark on the label by adding more sterile water and shake again.
• Any extra portion left to be thrown away.
• Shake well before use.
• Please use the measuring cap that comes with the package for accurate measurement.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Advent Forte 457 mg Syrup.
• Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Advent Forte 457 mg Syrup with any other medication.
• Content to be consumed within 7 days.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Advent Forte 457 mg Syrup:

Store below 25°C. Protect from moisture.

After reconstitution:

Store the reconstituted suspension in the refrigerator.
