About Polycrol Xpress Relief (Sugar free) Gel 450 ml:

Polycrol Xpress Relief (Sugar free) is an antacid gel, provides relief from acidity within ten seconds and gives immediate cooling effect.

Each 5 ml of Polycrol Xpress Relief contains Magnesium hydroxide 100 mg, Aluminium Hydroxide Gel 5 g, Activated dimethicone 125 mg, Sorbitol (70%).

Aluminum hydroxide and Magnesium hydroxide reacts with the stomach acid and form a salt and water. Thus, the pH in the stomach is increased and the acidity caused by the gastric HCl is decreased.

Dimethicone in Polycrol mixed with silicon dioxide gives simethicone (activated dimethicone). Activated dimethicone gathers all the small bubbles trapped in the stomach and intestine and later on, helps in releasing them in the form of belching or farts. It prevents entrapment of gas in mucus.

Sorbitol acts like a laxative. It softens the stools and eases the excretion through feces.
