The Accu-Chek Active blood glucose meter is intended to be used for the determination of quantitative blood glucose in fresh capillary blood by reflectance photometry. The Accu-Chek Active blood glucose meter may only be used together with Accu-Chek Active test strips. This easy-to-use system comprises unique features like pre and post-meal markers, visual double check, and 2 buttons intuitive handling.

• Insert the glucose test strip
• Prick your finger with the lancet to draw out a blood drop.
• Carefully touch the blood drop onto the green field of the test strip.
• Read the blood glucose result.

• If the patient has not applied the blood to the test strip in the available time and the meter has turned itself off, remove the test strip and discard it. Start the test from the beginning with a new test strip.
• Do not rub the blood drop onto the test field when applying the blood.
• Do not store used test strips in a test strip container that still contains unused test strips.
• Do not bend the test strip while sliding it into the meter.
• Do not bend or move the test strip before or while applying blood or while the test is in progress.
• Only apply blood to the test strip when the drop symbol is flashing on the display.
• Discard used test strips according to local regulations.
• Do not change the therapy without talking to the healthcare professional first.
• Please inform the healthcare professional immediately, if blood glucose values are too low or too high.
