Similac Isomil Soy Infant Formula Powder is a soy-based, milk-free, lactose-free, low osmolality infant formula. It is formulated specially to meet the nutritional need of infants suffering from lactose intolerance or sensitivity, milk allergy, management of diarrhea & the management of galactosemia. Similac Isomil with soy protein isolate and its inherent nucleotides has been shown to support the baby’s digestive and immune system development. The unique carbohydrate blend, with two different absorptive pathways, help maximize absorption and minimize the risk of malabsorption. A Unique (palm olein-free) fat blend in Similac Isomil has been shown to provide excellent calcium absorption and softer stools. It is designed for common feeding problems and helps reduce fussiness, gas, and spit-up. Besides, essential fatty acids, vitamins & minerals (such as calcium and iron) are known to support the healthy growth of the baby.
Warning/Caution -
Infant milk substitute is not the sole source of nourishment for an infant. careful & hygienic preparation of infant milk substitutes is essential for health. Do not use fewer scoops than directed since diluted feeding will not provide adequate nutrients needed by your infant. Do not use more scoops than directed since concentrated feed will not provide the water needed by your infant. Lactose-free infant milk substitutes should only be used in case of diarrhea due to lactose intolerance. This lactose-free infant milk substitute should be withdrawn if there is no improvement in symptoms of intolerance.

Directions for preparation & Use -
Use as directed by your physician. Use water that has previously been boiled at a full rolling boil for 5 minutes. Allow the water to cool & follow mixing instructions carefully. repeated use of improperly prepared formula & cause illness. Use only the scoop enclosed in this tin to measure Similac Isomil. If you prepared more than one feeding it must be refrigerated & used within 24 hours. Once feeding begins, use for one hour or discard.
Storage Conditions -
The contents of this can will make approximately 3 L of formula when mixed as directed. Store in a cool & dry place in an airtight container (not in the refrigerator). Store unopened tin under normal room conditions. Once this tin is opened, contents should be used within three weeks or within expiry date whichever is earlier. Never use a microwave oven to prepare or warm formula. This can result in serious burns. Note: Prepared formula may also be fed from a cup, or mixed with cereal or other solid foods.
